So, by my count, I’m about 45 days in from starting the blog. That has led me to have some, “so, how’s it going?” thoughts.
According to my “dashboard,” this will be my 15th published post…so that would mean I average about 1 post every 3 days. In terms of having signed up for postaweek2011, I’m doing well. But part of me is wondering, what would it be like if I posted once a day?? I’m out there checking out others in the blogosphere, and many of you seem to post once a day (if not several times a day). I really admire that. I think I should do that. Then I remember a) I’m new to this and trying to post an entry every day would totally overwhelm me (that’s why I didn’t select the postaday2011 challenge) b) perhaps some of the bloggers I enjoy reading now didn’t start off at once a day.
Aside from the why not every day guilt (practically mandatory for me), I’m enjoying writing this blog, although I can already think of some changes I’d like to make. As I mentioned, I’m developing a bit of an addiction to stats and comment checking on my entries, but I’m pretty happy with where I’ve come in the last month and a half. Started blog, signed up for postaweek2011, got comments, and saw my views graph move from a bar that shows views by 2′s to one that notes them by 5′s. And who can forget, figured out how to put photos up!
(Mr. strivingcynic’s daughter left her Snuggie unattended and this happened!)
On a complete other note, I was eating chips with salsa last night and mr. sc commented on my odd method of getting the salsa on the chip. Here’s what I do:
Actually, he asked if I would use a spoon to get salsa on my chip if I was at a party. I explained how I found that using the chip itself often meant a) a broken chip; b) me pushing the salsa around without actually getting much on the chip; and c) less chance for dripping because I can be more precise. Oh yeah, and that I probably wouldn’t eat the salsa at a party because someone else might have double dipped
.
I’m not the only one who has a unique approach to eating certain foods am I??! (or the only one who feels the need to do a self assessment/progress report on her blog)??
