Over the last few weekends (okay, not the previous one because I took a break…), I’ve shown some pictures from my visit to Grounds for Sculpture. I actually have a lot more to show, but I think I’ll probably parcel them out from time to time rather than run them over the next few weeks. But, I thought I’d share some favorite things.

isn’t he handsome?
That’s right, not only are there sculptures at Ground for Sculpture, there are peacocks. They’re really beautiful. You’ll definitely see more pictures of him and his relatives in a future post.

one of my favorites
I can’t tell you why, but I really loved this sculpture. I’d almost say it was my favorite except then I’ll remember another sculpture and say…well, maybe not. It’s definitely (probably) my favorite of the “metal” sculptures. Something about the shape…the way it looks like her skirt is blowing in the wind appeals to me (although maybe it’s not wind since her hat is staying on….looking at her arms, maybe she’s running…).
At any rate, something for everyone to see!
Have a great weekend!
I love peacocks and can’t wait to see more! I like the movement in the sculpture too.
OK, that is a pretty cool sculpture. I would stare at that one too.
happy weekend, zo!
love the peacock photo – they really do look so proud, don’t they?! there are peacocks in waterloo park across from me and they really are gorgeous!
i love the arm placement on that female statue!
looking forward to more pictures!
